New Year, New Quilts?

I'm getting tired of seeing those stockings when I log on to check every one's quilt blogs so I decided I might as well update...... pictureless. My regular computer died. Good thing Mr. Scissors (he'd love that name) is into computers because we have a lot of them. Right now I'm on one of our laptops and it's not great. I don't know how to put the camera into it to post pics. Not to mention the fact that I have no pics to post.

I haven't been doing a lot of quilting lately. I've been working a little bit on my double wedding ring quilt. Well, I say I may have worked on it but it's probably been only once since 2010. Why? Well, the girl at the top of the page ( blogger won't let me move the pic) has started to crawl. I now spend most of my day chasing her. She's fast. Very fast. She doesn't want to play with her toys either. She wants cords and stairs. It may be awhile before I get back to quilting.

Ok, well at least she is crawling! Megan just sits... and whines until you pick her up or play with her. I put a quilt up on the frames at my mom's house (that I started before Shane's parents left on their mission!) and she can't see me. I try to give her things to play with but she only wants me or "someone" to play with her. And she does NOT like sleeping in the porta-crib. She will scream for an hour if I let her (and I did!). It will take a while to get that quilt done

Oh, she's so cute...there will always be time for quilting...but only now do you get to chase her around!

That little girl is very gorgeous and adorable and even sitting, how old is she, she is pretty fast isn't she? Hope you still enjoy the crawling phase! It will pass and time for quilting will come back, believe me ;-).

Enjoy every little minute with that darling little girl. She will grow up so fast and you will find yourself with a lot of time on your hands to quilt. Maybe just sew a little while she is sleeping. It will all add up and you will have been blessed with the best of both worlds! :)

Oh Elizabeth - that crawling stage! My granddaughter is 3 months now so I've got that in my future. I remember years and years of living with a childproof home. It has actually been kind of fun without that. But I'm happy to childproof again. Mr. Hive (I always say I started that trend :-)) wants to put in a woodburning stove in our gas fireplace family room. I don't because of grandkids. We'll see who wins. Good luck with the puter.
